Strength in Discipline: Kinzang Deki’s Rise from Fitness Enthusiast to Champion

In a quick catch-up with Kinzang Deki, the champion of the women’s model physique category at the national bodybuilding competition 2024, she shared her incredible journey of strength and determination. This marks her third appearance at the national level, and her victory is a testament to her unwavering commitment. Starting her bodybuilding journey in 2021, Kinzang initially sought fitness for herself but was soon inspired by friends and family to take it to the next level and compete professionally.

“I’m happy that I could win the women’s category after three years of constant training. Bodybuilding is challenging as one has to sacrifice time and energy. I will keep working hard,” Kinzang shared with a determined smile.

When we, the BIM media team, asked her about her daily routine, she revealed her love for running as part of her cardio. “Running is more than just physical exercise for me. I get inspired by the runners and try to learn from their perseverance—how they keep moving forward despite feeling low on energy. The mental stability they show is beyond measure. I truly admire them,” she said.

Kinzang emphasizes that fitness has profoundly changed her life. “Bodybuilding isn’t just about building muscles; it’s about discipline—what you eat, how you rest, and staying committed to a balanced routine. Fitness has taught me the value of a strong mind and body. Eating clean, training regularly, and staying mentally focused has made me healthier, happier, and more grounded.”

She urges people to adopt healthier lifestyles, emphasizing the importance of discipline, balanced nutrition, and incorporating running or other forms of cardio into daily routines. “Fitness is not just about the body. It shapes your mindset and teaches you resilience. Take time for your health because it is the foundation of everything you want to achieve in life.”

Kinzang’s inspiring message leaves us with an important reminder: building a healthy lifestyle is not just about physical gains but also about mental well-being, discipline, and self-care. If she can do it, so can you! Let her journey motivate you to take the first step toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
