12th Edition of the Bhutan International Marathon Confirmed for 7th March 2026

The Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) is pleased to confirm that the 12th Edition of the Bhutan International Marathon (BIM) will be held on 7th March 2026 in Punakha, Bhutan.

The event will include two categories:

• Full Marathon (42 km)

• Half Marathon (21 km)

Registration for the marathon is now open, and participants can download the registration form from https://bhutaninternationalmarathon.com/registration-bim/.

For runners residing in Bhutan, registration fees can be paid through the national payment system.

For international runners, the BOC is currently migrating to a new payment system. During this transition period, international participants may complete their registration form and make payments via wire transfer. Alternatively, registered travel agents in Bhutan may facilitate the payment on behalf of the participants until the new system is fully operational.

The Bhutan Olympic Committee has partnered with Bhutan Philanthropy Ventures Private Limited (BPV) as the official local travel partner for international participants. BPV will assist with travel arrangements, logistics, and other related services for runners visiting Bhutan.

Organized annually by the Bhutan Olympic Committee, the Bhutan International Marathon aims to promote sports, healthy living, and community participation while providing runners the opportunity to experience Bhutan’s unique environment and culture.
